The letter said that they attended the national memorial service held at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun in the presence of Kim Jong Un, where they looked up to the dazzling portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il displayed with due respect on the platform and couldn't repress their emotions picturing the arduous Songun march he made all his life and the ordinary simple padded jacket he kept on wearing till the last moments of his life.

It noted that during the memorial service they were astonished at the appearance of the motherland which has undergone a radical change beyond recognition under the guidance of Kim Jong Un in just 5 years.

His noble intention to let the people live in luxury and comfort under socialism without tightening their belts any longer has been translated into reality, something which could have been hardly imaginable, it said.

It pointed out they will further consolidate the general association into the patriotic ranks of loyalty that has taken its roots deep among the broad masses under the banner of Kim Jong Il's patriotism as befits the overseas soldiers and disciples of Kim Jong Il who live in the battle-sites of the anti-Japanese revolution in the northeast area from which Mt. Paektu is in sight.

Even if they live in a foreign country, they will always keep in mind the obligations of Koreans and more dynamically conduct the patriotic movement to make tangible contributions to the building of a powerful socialist country and bring up new generations to be genuine ones who would firmly carry forward the tradition of patriotism.
