The Cambodian paper Nokor Thom Daily carried an article, illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The paper recalled that he made a journey of field guidance for the people even in the last days of his life, regarding their happiness as his greatest happiness, adding: His noble life would be always remembered by the Korean people and other progressive people of the world.

AKP praised the ideological and theoretical feats and Songun leadership ones of the peerlessly great man which are an eternal foundation guaranteeing the prosperity of socialist Korea and happiness of its people, adding that the Korean people are holding him in high esteem as the eternal leader.

It also quoted what foreign prominent figures said, praising him as a peerless statesman, brilliant commander, all-round leader and peerlessly great sage.

The Cambodian State Radio Broadcasting said that he is the eternal leader of the Korean people and the idea and lines set forth by him serve as the banner of illumining the road to be followed by the Korean people.

The greatest of his feats is to firmly defend socialism, it said, adding that he continued making journeys of devotion for the country and the people throughout his life and thus provided an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country.

Apsara Radio Broadcasting and F.M. 90. 5 Radio of Cambodia also praised his whole life characterized by the love for the people.
