Taking part in the action, sponsored by the People's Emergency Action for Resignation of the Park Geun Hye Regime, were 702,000 people from all walks of life in Seoul, Pusan, Kwangju, Taegu and all other parts of south Korea.

A rally took place at the Kwanghwamun plaza in the wake of various struggles in more than 20 places of Seoul.

In Pusan, 70,000 citizens held a rally in demand of the prompt ouster and detention of Park Geun Hye, the early decision on the motion calling for her impeachment and the total resignation of Hwang Kyo An's Cabinet.

More than 10,000 citizens took a candlelight rally in Kwangju.

Inhabitants in 17 areas of South Jolla Province launched candlelight actions, strongly urging the resignation of Park Geun Hye and disbandment of the ruling "Saenuri Party".

Similar actions took place in North Kyongsang, North and South Chungchong provinces and all other parts of south Korea.
