The Central Broadcasting Service in an article illustrated with photos showing revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il noted that the DPRK achieved one victory after another in the ceaseless showdown with the U.S. which styled itself the "only superpower" in the world, under his Songun leadership.

The Central Radio also aired a special program dealing with his revolutionary career and exploits.

The newspapers Al Baath, Al Thawrah and Tishrin introduced the Songun leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il and his noble outlook on the people and the future.
