Born into a poor peasant family, Jon had to experience all sorts of maltreatment and contempt as a member of the stateless nation. It was after the liberation of Korea by President Kim Il Sung that she could lead a genuine life as a master of the country.

She had long worked hard as an agricultural worker, and is still now living an optimistic life in good health.
