Kim Jong Il's Career, Exploits Lauded by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of different countries carried special write-ups, illustrated with a portrait of smiling leader Kim Jong Il, between December 10 and 16 to commemorate the 5th anniversary of his demise.

The Lao newspaper Pasason said in an article titled "Legacy Comrade Kim Jong Il handed down to the Korean people":

Kim Jong Il left as a legacy the great exploits that ensure the eternal foundation and the bright future of socialist Korea.

Possessed of ideo-theoretical wisdom as his inborn disposition, he glorified the Juche idea, the Songun idea as the eternal guiding idea of Korea and the great guideline in the era of independence.

He developed the Workers' Party of Korea into an ever-victorious guiding force, the DPRK into an invincible socialist fortress and the Korean People's Army into matchless revolutionary ranks.

With the politics of love and trust, he cemented the single-minded unity of the Korean society as firm as a rock and ushered in a new era of building a thriving socialist nation.

The exploits he performed all his life will shine forever as a noble legacy guaranteeing the accomplishment of the socialist cause in the DPRK and the realization of the cause of global independence.

The Myanmar newspaper The New Age carried an article titled "The eternal leader of the Korean people" under the headline of "High tribute to HE Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people, on December 17, 2016, on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of his demise".

The Congolese newspaper Le Patriot and the Ugandan newspaper Sun Rise, too, carried articles praising Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career.
