A seminar on the greatness of Kim Jong Il was held at a conference room of the Association in Shenyang, China on Dec. 16.

Placed on the front wall of the seminar place was a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The participants paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Il who devoted his whole life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.

Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the Association, said that Kim Jong Il was an outstanding thinker and theoretician, matchless political elder and peerlessly Songun brilliant commander who was possessed of the best qualifications and traits as a great man, and a peerless patriot who made life-long dedication with warm loving care and devotion to the country and people, and kind-hearted father of overseas Koreans.

She said that Kim Jong Il developed the party, army and state into those of President Kim Il Sung under the uplifted banner of modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism, and put the dignity and power of the nation on the highest level. She also said that Kim Jong Il provided two historic north-south summits and advanced the great idea of By Our Nation Itself.

The General Association and all the Koreans in China will strengthen the association, founded and wisely led by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, into an invincible patriotic organization remaining loyal to the ideology and leadership of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un only and thus invariably carry forward and develop the immortal idea on Juche-oriented movement of overseas Koreans and revolutionary feats of the great leaders.

Speakers praised the noble revolutionary life and undying feats of Kim Jong Il.

They pledged to uphold another great man Kim Jong Un with loyalty, true to the last instructions of Kim Jong Il.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.

A memorial service of the Zhongnan Regional Association was held at the DPRK Embassy in Beijing on the same day.

The Liaoning Regional Association, the Jilin Regional Association, branches of Dandong, Harbin and Hailin and other organizations under the General Association placed floral baskets before portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang and at the Dandong City branch and paid tribute to them on Dec. 16 and 17.

Then there were a photo exhibition, seminar, study session and remembrance meeting.
