The whole world was thrilled by the news that Kim Jong Un issued an order to conduct the first H-bomb test of Juche Korea on behalf of the Workers' Party of Korea and then signed the final written order.

The DPRK emerged a full-fledged nuclear power possessed of even H-bomb, thus depriving the U.S. of its unchallenged right to make a preemptive nuclear attack.

He made sure that epoch-making actions were taken one after another in order to consolidate the DPRK's strategic position in the wake of H-bomb test.

Then, followed such events as the test-fire of ground to ground medium-and-long range strategic ballistic rocket Hwasong-10 in June, the test-fire of submarine-launched ballistic missile in August and the successful nuclear warhead explosion test in September.

The U.S. made desperate efforts. It staged joint military drills for aggression while grumbling about "threat" to peace and "provocation" whenever the DPRK took steps for self-defence.

The latest weapons newly developed under the guidance of Kim Jong Un demonstrated their might one after another. And the military drills and shelling contests staged by all services and arms of the Korean People's Army dealt telling blows at the enemies.

Hurrah for the Workers' Party of Korea resounded in the flood-hit northern part of the country went to prove that the DPRK won a shining victory in the campaign to recover from the severe natural disaster and the struggle to foil the escalating sanctions and pressure of the enemies.

The hostile forces further tightened sanctions against the DPRK but the spirit of the Paektusan heroic youth was fully displayed and an unusually bumper harvest of fruits was reaped at the foot of Chol Pass and a new history of big fish hauls was unfolded in the sea.

When looking back on the year crowded with such events, the Korean people feel increasingly confident of the justness of their cause and its victory. Their pluck is growing strong as they are led by Kim Jong Un.
