Attending there were KPA Vice Marshal Hwang Pyong So, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and director of the KPA General Political Bureau, Army General Pak Yong Sik, minister of the People's Armed Forces, and other commanding officers of the KPA.

Hwang Pyong So in his speech warmly congratulated the officials and fishermen in fisheries under the KPA who overfulfilled this year's goal set out by the Party in the 70-day campaign and the 200-day campaign for history of big fish hauls and thus protected the authority of the Party Central Committee at the cost of their lives and delighted all the service personnel and people.

He stressed the need for all the officials and fishermen to attain without fail the next year fishing goal set by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and thus display once again the militant spirit of fishermen in the drive for implementing the decision of the Seventh Congress of the Party.

He called upon all the participants to make big fish hauls in 2017.
