The magazine carried a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il. It also printed photos of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il working together for the people's happiness, photos of Kim Jong Il giving energetic field guidance to factories and the countryside and art works depicting the great leaders.

Under "Major course of activities of the great General Kim Jong Il", "Kim Jong Il-Juche Idea" and other titles, the magazine introduced the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il who had performed distinguished feats in bolstering up the national defence capabilities, developing the country's politics, economy and culture and realizing global independence through his energetic ideo-theoretical activities and with his prominent leadership ability.

It gave an account of national memorial service held in Pyongyang on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of his demise.
