DPRK's December Holidays Celebrated in Various Countries
Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries to celebrate the 25th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA), the 5th anniversary of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un's assumption of KPA supreme commandership and the 99th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk.

Celebration meetings, seminars, lectures, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Bulgaria, Switzerland, Sweden and Tanzania between Dec. 15 and 30 last year.

On display at the venues of events were photos showing the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Un.

Also there were their works and books and photos introducing the achievements made by the Korean people in building an economic power.

The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said that under the guidance of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il the DPRK victoriously concluded the Arduous March, Forced March in which the country had to overcome the biggest difficulties, and provided a springboard for building a thriving nation and developed into a satellite manufacturer and launcher and a military power possessed of self-defensive nuclear deterrent.

The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association and the chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea stressed that in 2016 the DPRK fully demonstrated before the world its political and military might further increased under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

The vice-chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups said in a lecture that Kim Jong Suk, deeply revered by the Korean people, had devoted her whole life to the struggle for the country and its people.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events in Bulgaria, Switzerland and Sweden.
