Pak In Gon, a department director of the ministry, told KCNA:

Officials of the ministry went down to fishery stations in the east and west coastal areas of the country from the outset of the year, in hearty response to the New Year Address.

The ministry has improved the organization and direction of production to bring about a big fish haul this year in the spirit of struggle displayed by the fishermen under the Korean People's Army who created the history of unprecedented fish haul.

And all the fishery stations are making full preparations for catching fishes.

Taking the lead in it are the Sinpho Pelagic Fishery Complex and Mundok, Hanchon and Kamapho fishery stations.

The ministry will concentrate its efforts on putting the fishing industry on a scientific basis, increase the number of days spent for fishing at all fisheries and persistently push forward the aquatic farming.
