Rodong Sinmun Urges U.S. to Make Bold Decision to Abandon Hostile Policy toward DPRK
Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- The reason for the DPRK and the U.S. remaining in the hostile relationship is that the foreign policy of the DPRK contradicts that of the U.S.

The U.S. foreign policy is, in essence, the policy for overseas aggression and war and the policy for interference in the internal affairs of other countries, Rodong Sinmun on Monday says in an article.

The world has long branded the U.S. as a war machine. The politics, economy and military affairs of the U.S. all exist for overseas aggression, plunder and war, the article notes, and goes on:

All the successive U.S. rulers from Truman to Obama have never wished to co-exist with the DPRK peacefully. They have tried to stifle it, always agitating confrontation with it. This is the main contents of the U.S. policy towards the DPRK.

The best way of ending the DPRK-U.S. confrontation is for the DPRK to emerge as a nuclear power and put a definite end to the U.S. nuclear threat and military blackmail.

How the DPRK-U.S. confrontation is put to an end depends on the U.S. attitude. The U.S. has to make a bold decision to abandon its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The DPRK will put spurs to bolstering its nuclear deterrence under the uplifted banner of simultaneously developing the two fronts in order to check and foil the U.S. moves to isolate and stifle it and firmly defend peace.
