Present there on invitation was the art troupe of Korean schoolchildren in Japan headed by O Haeng Dok, vice-director of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

On hand were Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials concerned.

Kim Yong Chol said that through the New Year performance the members of the art troupe showed their resolve to hold President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem forever and grow up to be dependable pillars of the movement of Koreans in Japan under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

He expressed belief that Korean schoolchildren in Japan would prepare themselves to be reliable successors of Chongryon creditably inheriting the tradition of the nation and patriotism.

O Haeng Dok said that Korean schoolchildren in Japan would prepare themselves to be the master of Chongryon with firm faith that they are sure to win as they are led by Kim Jong Un, symbol of the dignity of the nation and its mightiness.

Schoolchildren in Pyongyang and members of the art troupe gave a joint performance.
