The appeal said:

HE Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address clearly indicated the way for rejecting the outsiders' interference and realizing the national reunification by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation.

The south Korean authorities should take the road of mending the relations with the north and respond to the DPRK's sincere efforts to prevent military conflict and ease the tension between the north and the south.

The U.S., chiefly responsible for the division of the Korean Peninsula, should roll back its anachronistic anti-DPRK hostile policy, an obstacle to achieving peace and security on the peninsula and in the rest of the world.

The world community should oppose the obstructive moves of the U.S. and its followers and make a positive contribution to creating a climate favorable for the reunification of the peninsula.

The African Regional Committee of Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People calls upon all the Africans to extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in the struggle for national reunification.
