Minju Joson Urges U.S. to Have Fresh Way of Thinking

Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- Obama's gentries are making much fuss, taken aback by the fact that the DPRK entered the final stage of preparation for the test launch of intercontinental ballistic missile. The U.S. deputy secretary of State, blustered that the DPRK's threat has reached an alarming phase and sanctions and pressure upon it would go on no matter what administration emerges in the U.S. Meanwhile, some "experts" and conservative media are busy beating the worn-out drums for "sanctions." Commenting on this, Minju Joson Saturday says that the outgoing Obama group's disgraceful behavior only invites sneers from all people as they are not away from their outdated and anachronistic conception of confrontation. What the Obama group uttered is ridiculous, indeed. The DPRK's development of ICBM is a part of the measures for bolstering up its self-defensive military capability to cope with the U.S. daily-increasing nuclear war threat. To develop ICBM for defending the country's sovereignty and dignity and people's security can neither run counter to international law nor can be blamed as it is the exercise of the legitimate and independent right of the DPRK. The DPRK will continue to bolster up its military capability for self-defense and preemptive strike with the nuclear force as its pivot as long as the U.S. and its vassal forces' nuclear threat and blackmail persist and they stage ceaseless war exercises at its doorstep under the signboard of annual ones. Now is the time for the U.S. to respond to the DPRK with a fresh way of thinking. The U.S. should make a bold decision of rolling back its anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK if it does not want to see the escalating tension. |
