In hearty response to his address, employees in the field of rail transport have increased freight transport to power stations, metal and chemical factories by 1.1 times, 2.5 times and 1.3 times respectively as compared with the same period of last year.

The Ministry of Railways has taken measures for preferentially ensuring locomotives and wagons for power stations and metal and chemical factories, while making sure that the Pyongyang Rolling-Stock Spare Parts Factory and other factories ensure the smooth supply of accessories.

The Pyongyang Railway Bureau is decreasing the loading time to the maximum to send freight wagons to the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and other major units.

The Pukchang Railway Branch Bureau puts the locomotive management on a sci-tech basis.

Major passenger and freight car corps are also making contribution to the freight transport to the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the February 8 Vinalon Complex and other industrial establishments.
