The participants of the meeting placed a bouquet before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Wonsan City and paid tribute to them.

Speeches were made at the meeting attended by the captain and crew of the vessel.

Speakers said that the President made public the 10-point programme of the great unity of the entire nation in the last period of his revolutionary career and energetically worked to unite the entire Korean nation as a force for reunification.

Kim Jong Il provided the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, the basic spirit of which is the ideal of By Our Nation Itself and ushered in the new heyday of the national reunification movement, while working hard to accomplish the cause of reunification, the lifelong desire of the President, they said.

They branded the U.S. and south Korean authorities as arch criminals which produced the nuclear issue of the Korean peninsula and seriously violating peace and security of the peninsula and the region of Northeast Asia.

They referred to the fact that respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un clarified the principled position and tasks and ways to improve the inter-Korean ties and usher in the heyday of the reunification movement in his New Year Address.

They expressed solidarity with the Korean people in their struggle for the reunification of the country.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
