Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Sri Lanka

| Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- A Sri Lankan preparatory committee for celebrating the 75th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Colombo on Jan. 12. The chairman of the Gampaha Branch of the Sri Lanka Society for Self-Reliance Studies was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize political and cultural events such as seminar and celebration meeting praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il. |
