The statement said Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, in his New Year Address clearly showed the road ahead of the movement for Korea's reunification.

His idea of opening up a broad avenue to independent reunification by the concerted effort of all Koreans is the most fair and aboveboard proposal that meets the desire and wishes of the nation under the prevailing situation of the Korean peninsula, it said, adding:

Kim Jong Un stressed that positive measures should be taken to improve the inter-Korean relations, defuse acute military confrontation and remove the danger of war between the north and south.

We extend support and solidarity to the struggle of the Korean people to achieve the reunification of the country without outsiders' interference.
