Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the association, was elected chairwoman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful events such as a photo and book exhibition, film show and art performance praising Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits on this anniversary.

Organizations under the General Association of Koreans in China also decided to hold seminars on Kim Jong Il's greatness and round-table talks.
