S. Korea: Publication of Results of Investigation into Pollution Demanded

| Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty in south Korea and the Inhabitants Association for Properly Retaking U.S. Military Base in Ryongsan began a demonstration in Seoul on Jan. 18, demanding the publication of the results of investigation into the environmental pollution inside the base. The protesters denounced the Ministry of Environment for having refused to make public the investigation results though the Seoul High Court ruled last year that the results should be made public. What is more important is people's life, they said, declaring that they would carry on a sustained struggle. |
