Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, while visiting the Wonsan Army-People Power Station in December last year, praised the officials, party members and other working people in Kangwon Province as indomitable fighters who proved in practice the great vitality of the self-development-first principle and creators of the spirit of Kangwon Province. He reposed the deepest trust in them by calling on the whole country to learn from their example.

The spirit of Kangwon Province is the death-defying spirit to lay down one's life without hesitation for the implementation of the leader's behest and the Party's line and policies. Now, people of the province mapped out a bold plan to solve the problem of electricity and started the construction of several power stations. They are pushing ahead with the construction of a tree nursery and a home for the aged and the drive for laying the foundations for agricultural production in the province.
