H. Jacobsen, member of the Leadership of the Communist Party in Denmark, and Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, were elected co-chairmen of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events praising Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits on the anniversary.
