Floral Tribute Paid to Statues of Great Leaders on Lunar New Year's Day
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- The servicepersons, working people from all walks of life and school youth and children in the DPRK laid floral baskets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the lunar New Year's Day, Juche 106 (2017).

Seen before the statues on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang was a floral basket from Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Laid before the statues were floral baskets in the names of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and institutions, industrial establishments and schools at all levels and other units in Pyongyang.

Also placed there was a floral basket in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.

The visitors made deep bows to the statues.

The statues of the great leaders and their smiling portraits at Kim Il Sung University, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, the Mansudae Art Studio and other parts of Pyongyang were visited by many citizens carrying floral baskets and bouquets.

Meanwhile, servicepersons, working people and school youth and children across the country visited the statues of the great leaders and their smiling portraits in their residential areas.
