L. Shukolinikov, chairman of the Permanent Standing Committee of the Belarus National Association of Friends of Korean People Named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits and organize such colorful political and cultural events as meeting and lecture on this anniversary.
