MD. Harun-Ar-Rashid, chairman of the Bangladeshi Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt Paektu and chairman of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold such political and cultural events as meeting, seminar, film show and photo exhibition praising the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the greatness of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un on these anniversaries.
