Day of Sun, Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Hungary

| Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- A Hungarian preparatory committee for celebrating the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star, the birth anniversaries of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, was formed in Budapest on Jan. 23. Gyula Thurmer, chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from January 24 to April 17 and decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary careers and exploits of the great leaders and organize diverse political and cultural events in the period. |
