Speaking at the gathering, Choe Un Bok briefed the heads of compatriot organizations on the content of Kim Jong Un's New Year Address.

She said that Kim Jong Un ardently called for opening up a broad avenue to independent reunification by the concerted efforts of all Koreans this year, clearly indicating the way for Korea's reunification, the common desire of the nation.

Last year witnessed the closer national unity among Koreans in China through solidarity activities between the General Association and various compatriot organizations, she noted, ardently calling upon all the compatriots to always share the breath with the people in the homeland and make tangible contributions to the prosperity and reunification of the homeland.

Then heads of compatriot organizations made speeches at the gathering.

The participants enjoyed themselves, watching an art performance and dancing to the tune of songs.
