Greetings to New Chairman of AU Commission

| Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, on Jan. 31 sent a message of greeting to Moussa Faki Mahamat on his election as chairman of the Commission of African Union (AU) at the 28th session of the assembly of heads of state and government of the AU. The message said that his election is an expression of deep trust and expectation of the peoples in the region striving to settle the issues of African Continent independently without any outside interference and ensure the peace, stability and development of Africa. It reaffirmed the DPRK's steadfast stand to boost the friendly and cooperative relations with the AU and its member nations and wished the chairman great success in his responsible work for the strengthening of the AU. |
