The appeal said:

This year marks the 105th birth anniversary of HE President Kim Il Sung and the 75th birth anniversary of HE Kim Jong Il, who had made undying contributions to the prosperity of socialist Korea and the cause of global independence, and the 5th anniversary of the election of HE Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, to the highest posts of the party and the state of the DPRK.

The progressive humankind have deep reverence and affection for Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who rendered disinterested material and moral assistance to the national-liberation struggle in colonial African countries and their building of new society.

And they boundlessly revere Kim Jong Un who is wisely leading the building of a socialist power in the DPRK, smashing the high-handed challenges and threat of the hostile forces.

To convey the exploits of the peerlessly great men, deeply revered by the progressive humankind, through all ages is also the desire of the Africans who are eager to live and develop independently against all sorts of domination and subordination.

We call upon all the organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and the progressive personages in Africa to take active part in the work for erecting the Monument to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu.
