Rodong Sinmun Assails Dangerous Military Drill of U.S., Japanese and S. Korean Warmongers
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Days ago the U.S. together with Japan and south Korea staged a missile warning drill under the eyes of the DPRK with Aegis ships involved. It was reportedly aimed to detect and track missiles and share intelligence.

Rodong Sinmun Monday in a commentary brands the drill as a dangerous saber-rattling to drive the situation on the Korean peninsula to the phase of confrontation.

The U.S. is seeking a war, not peace, the commentary says, and goes on:

It is the invariable ambition and strategy of the U.S. to militarily stifle the DPRK and advance into the continent.

The U.S. seeks to carry out this scenario by tightening the military alliance with its vassal forces. It is designed to round off the triangular military alliance at any cost in a bid to hurl its vassal forces and thus swallow up the DPRK with their collective military muscle.

This brought to light the true colors of the U.S. as the arch criminal escalating the tension and disturbing peace in the Korean peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia.

It is the bold guts, spirit and mettle of the DPRK to retaliate against the enemy's dagger with a sword and his rifle with an artillery piece.

The DPRK will take a series of strong countermeasures in succession to protect the sovereignty of the country, the dignity of the nation and peace in the Korean peninsula and the region unless the U.S. stops saber-rattling against it.
