Reception Given by Cuban Ambassador to DPRK
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, Monday gave a reception at his embassy to mark the 58th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban revolution.

Invited to it were Kim Yong Dae, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission and chairman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and other officials concerned.

The Cuban ambassador said at the reception that the 7th congress of the Communist Party of Cuba unfolded new tasks for thoroughly implementing the Party's line and building an independent and prosperous country by achieving socio-economic development.

The brotherly Korean people registered striking successes in the building of a powerful socialist country, holding aloft the banner of great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism under the wise guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un last year in which the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea was held, he added.

Cuba will as ever maintain the historic relations of friendship provided by Fidel Castro Ruz, Raul Castro Ruz, President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, he noted, adding the friendship and unity between the parties, armies and peoples of the two countries will be ever-lasting.

Kim Yong Dae said in his speech that the victory of the Cuban revolution was a historic event as it brought a bright future to the Cuban people who had groaned, shackled to the chains of dictatorship and subjugation, and paved a way of building a new society.

The Korean people are regarding all successes being made by the brotherly Cuban people in the building of socialism as their own happiness and wish the latter greater victory in their struggle for implementing the decision made at the 7th congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, he noted.

He stressed that the Korean people would stand by the side of the Cuban people in the common struggle for independence against imperialism and the victory of the cause of socialism and strive to develop the good-neighborly and friendly and cooperative relations with those countries defending independence, guided by the idea of independence, peace and friendship.
