Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in UK

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- A British preparatory committee for celebrating the Day of the Shining Star, the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il, was formed on January 24 in the joint name of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Korean Friendship Association UK.

Dermot Hudson, chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize diverse political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion.
