Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Iceland

| Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Reykjavik, Iceland on Jan. 23. Jon Arni Halldorsson, general secretary of the Iceland-DPRK Friendship and Cultural Society, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. |
