Schoolchildren Tours Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site, Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 1
Samjiyon, February 7 (KCNA) -- School youth and children from across the country making study tour of leader Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp visited the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site and the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 1.

They began their study tour of the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site on February 6.

At the Samjiyon Grand Monument, they laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and paid tribute to him.

They went round the shore of Lake Samji, a torch tower, groups of subsidiary theme sculptures and other places.

They placed a floral basket and bouquets at the statue of the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon County and paid tribute to him.

Then they toured different places in the town of Samjiyon, including Samtogong log cabin where Kim Jong Il spent a night with members of the expedition group in June of Juche 45 (1956) when paving the way for the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in Paektusan area.

They enjoyed a performance given by members of art group at the Samjiyon Schoolchildren's Palace.

They also visited the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 1 on Tuesday.

They toured the dam of the power station, product of hard work of the youth shock brigade members, and the Paektusan Hero Youth Exploits Exhibition Hall.
