Professorship was conferred upon some persons, including Kang Ki Chan, vice-dean of a faculty of Kim Il Sung University, Hyon Song Chol, head of a department of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Kim Ryong Sung, deputy rector of University of Sciences, Ho Kwang Chun, head of the Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences.

Doctorate went to An Ung Nam, head of a department of Kim Il Sung University, Ri Chol Jin, dean of a faculty of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Choe Yong Guk, head of a department of University of National Economy, Ri Jong Su, a teacher of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Son Kwang Il, head of a department of Pyongyang University of Architecture, and others, the title of associate professor to 160 persons and master's degrees to 780 persons.

An awarding ceremony took place on Tuesday.
