Halt to THAAD Deployment Urged in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The Action for Checking THAAD Deployment and other organizations of south Korea reportedly held a press conference outside the puppet defense ministry building on February 3 in protest against the deployment of war hardware. Speakers at the conference said that during his visit to south Korea the U.S. secretary of Defense claimed THAAD deployment is needed to "cope with the DPRK's nukes", but it has been already proved that the deployment has nothing to do with defending south Korea. They contended that the THAAD deployment would bring benefits only to the U.S. and Japan and it is not helpful to peace on the Korean peninsula. They urged the authorities to stop the THAAD deployment inviting war. |
