Floral Tribute Paid to Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The army and people of the DPRK paid high tribute to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who founded and developed the revolutionary armed forces on the occasion of the birthday of the regular armed forces.

Many servicepersons, citizens from all walks of life and school youth and children visited the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill.

Laid at the statues were floral baskets, together with bouquets, in the names of party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and organs, industrial establishments at all levels and schools in the city of Pyongyang.

The visitors made deep bows before the statues, looking back upon the exploits of the great leaders who developed the Korean People's Revolutionary Army into regular armed forces and ushered in a golden age of development of the revolutionary armed forces.

Also, an endless stream of visitors flew to the statues of the great leaders at Kim Il Sung Military University, Kim Il Sung University of Politics, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security and the Mansudae Art Studio.

Servicepersons, civilians and school youth and children in different parts of the country, too, paid floral tribute to the statues of the great leaders and the mosaics depicting their smiling images in their residential areas.
