Attending the wreath-laying ceremony were Vice Marshal of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Hwang Pyong So, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and director of the KPA General Political Bureau; KPA Vice Marshal Ri Myong Su, chief of the KPA General Staff; and commanding officers and soldiers of the KPA.

Wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, KPA units at all levels and military academies were laid at the wreath-laying stand "Soul of Heroes".

The visitors paid silent tribute in memory of the martyrs of the KPA and went round the cemetery.
