A meeting of chairmen of the north, south and overseas sides of All-Korean Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration was held in Shenyang, China from February 7 to 8, 2017, amid the great expectation and concern of the public at home and abroad.

The meeting discussed practical matters for improving the north-south relations and opening up a new phase of independent reunification by the concerted efforts of all Koreans this significant year marking the 45th anniversary of the historic July 4 joint statement and the 10th anniversary of the October 4 declaration, and agreed as follows:

1. June 15 All-Korean Committee agreed to respect the agreements common to the nation including the three principles of national reunification and the north-south declarations and, on this basis, promote the national reconciliation and unity and pro-actively spur the movement for peace of the country and improvement of the north-south relations.

2. June 15 All-Korean Committee agreed to conduct diverse activities for defusing military tension and the danger of war and building a lasting and durable peace mechanism on the Korean peninsula.

3. June 15 All-Korean Committee agreed to set the days from June 15 to October 4 as a period of marking the publication of the north-south declarations and hold events common to the nation in Pyongyang, Seoul and other areas in the north and the south on the occasions of June 15, July 4, August 15 and October 4, anniversaries common to the nation, in order to realize visits, contacts, dialogue and exchanges between people of all social standings in the north and the south and abroad and revitalize the reunification movement nationwide.

4. June 15 All-Korean Committee decided to certainly hold a pan-national grand gathering for reunification attended by all political parties, organizations and compatriots at home and abroad including the authorities of the north and the south and play its key and pioneer role in opening up the second June 15 era of reunification.

5. June 15 All-Korean Committee decided to strive for the successful holding of reunification gathering, sports and cultural events and seminars, etc. involving people of all social strata, fields and organizations such as the north-south workers' football games for reunification, north-south farmers' national folk and cultural events for reunification, north-south-overseas youth and students' grand gathering for reunification, meeting of representatives of women's organizations, meeting of north-south religionists, tour of historical sites related to the anti-Japanese independence movement.

6. June 15 All-Korean Committee decided to make efforts for diverse sports and cultural exchange on the occasion of the 2018 women's Asian Cup and the 23rd Winter Olympiad.

7. June 15 All-Korean Committee decided to wrest apology and reparation for all the crimes committed by Japan against the Korean nation in the past and conduct more dynamic solidarity activities for the democratic rights of the Koreans in Japan.
