S. Korean Organizations Protest U.S. Moves to Deploy Stealth Destroyer

Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Kangjong Village Council, the All-Islanders Measure Committee for Checking the Building of Jeju Naval Base and Building Peaceful Island and the Measure Council for Checking the Building of Jeju Naval Base in south Korea held a press conference on Feb. 7 in protest against the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces' moves for the destroyer deployment outside the main gate of the Jeju naval base, according to the south Korean internet paper Chamsesang.

At the press conference, the speakers said that if the destroyer is deployed in the Jeju naval base as intended by the U.S., it is clear that it will be used as its outpost for invading Asia.

They urged the U.S. to immediately withdraw the assertions about the deployment of the destroyer and the south Korean authorities to flatly turn down the demand of the U.S.
