True to his intention, the Pyongyang City Fish Farming Management Bureau set stepwise goals for developing fish culture and is concentrating efforts on achieving them.

Now the Bureau has pushed forward such projects as completing recipes of assorted foods for different fishes, making mullet get adapted to freshwater and solving sci-tech problems arising in cage-net fish farming and loach farming.

It has applied automatic feeders to seed-fish breeding units and hastened the work to establish integrated production system at the units.

It also increases fish production in existing cage-nets and is building a large-capacity assorted food production base and an in-door fish farm.

Meanwhile, its affiliated units have kept fish ponds and waterways in good repair and strived to set up a ring-shaped rotation production system of livestock and fish farming.
