Attending it were Korean People's Army Vice Marshal Hwang Pyong So, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affaires Commission of the DPRK and director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA; Vice-Chairman of the C.C., WPK O Su Yong, Minister of People's Security Choe Pu Il and Vice-Premier of the Cabinet and Chairman of the State Planning Commission Ro Tu Chol, who are members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK; officials of party and armed forces organs, and other senior party, state and army officials, officials of party and armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, men and officers of the KPA, officers and shock brigade members of the 216 Division and officials and persons of distinguished services in Ryanggang Province and Samjiyon County.

Speeches were made by O Su Yong and Hwang Pyong So and Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the C.C., the youth league.

They said that Kim Jong Il performed immortal feats before the country and the history by leading the WPK and the revolution to the ever-victorious road for half a century.

No matter the world may change more than a hundred times and what storm and stress they may face, they would absolutely trust respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, decisively defend him politically and ideologically and at the risk of their lives and establish the unified leadership system of the supreme leader more firmly in the whole Party and society, they noted, adding:

The Korean revolutionary armed forces will hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the sun of Songun of Juche and glorify the army building feats associated with his whole life generation after generation no matter how much water may flow under the bridge.

They solemnly vowed to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem for all ages and endlessly glorify the idea of youth movement of Kim Jong Il who brought up young people to be reliable political reserves of the Party and the detached force of the supreme commander, and his leadership feats.

Fireworks were displayed in the sky above the sacred land of the revolution.
