Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Russia

Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il, the Day of the Shining Star, was formed under the sponsorship of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation on February 6.

Dolgachev, first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Russian party, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.
