The players competed with each other in ten sports events, divided into four groups.

Teams of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, the Maritime Administration of the DPRK, the Taesong Guidance Bureau and the Mansudae Art Studio won in the men's basketball matches, teams of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Central Public Prosecutors Office, the Taehung Guidance Bureau and the Radio and TV Broadcasting Committee of the DPRK in the men's volleyball matches and teams of the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, the Ministry of Finance, the Myohyang Guidance Bureau and the Korean Revolution Museum in the women's volleyball matches.

Teams of the Ministry of Railways, the Taesong Bank, the Taehung Guidance Bureau and the Foreign Languages Publishing House came first in the tug of war and the Taekwon-do matches and teams of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the Unha Guidance Bureau and the Sci-Tech Complex in shooting matches,

Coming top in the team standings were teams of the State Planning Commission, the Taesong Bank, the Taehung Guidance Bureau and the Foreign Languages Publishing House.
