Present there were officials concerned, officials of the General Federation of Trade Union of Korea (GFTUK) and the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK), workers, trade union members, agricultural workers and members of the UAWK.

Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the C.C., GFTUK, made a report at the meeting held at the Central Hall of Workers to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that the birth of Kim Jong Il as the Shining Star of Mt Paektu was a great fortune for the nation that opened up a bright future of the revolutionary cause of Juche and an event of world historic significance as it promised the bright future of the human cause of independence.

They noted that Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career was the most brilliant one of the peerlessly great man who saved the destiny of the nation with the high mission for the country and revolution, iron will, foresightedness and outstanding leadership and devoted his all to the happiness of the people.

They called for holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal sun of Juche for all ages and dynamically advancing towards the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, united close around respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Agricultural workers and members of the UAWK held a meeting at the Hall of Culture in Kwaksan County.

Then a performance was given in celebration of the anniversary.

The performers praised Kim Jong Il for making marches of devotion for the prosperity of the country and the happiness of its people all his life and opening up a broad avenue to the eternal happiness and prosperity of Kim Il Sung's nation.
