Among them were Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Premier Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, and other senior state officials, the chairman of a friendly party, officials of the party central leadership organ in Pyongyang and officials of ministries and national institutions.

Seen standing before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il was a floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the WPK, the state and the army.

Also seen there was a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.

Placed there was a floral basket in the joint name of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet.

The participants paid high tribute to the great leaders before their statues.

At the hall of immortality where Kim Jong Il lies in state, they paid homage to him.

They looked round the hall where orders Kim Jong Il received are on display and the halls that house a car, electric car, boat and train coach used by him during his field guidance and foreign tours till the last moments of his life.

Meanwhile, many service personnel of the People's Army and working people in various circles visited the palace to pay tribute to Kim Jong Il on the same day.
