Present there on invitation were Kim Ki Nam, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University and concurrently minister of Higher Education who doubles as chairman of the Social Scientists Society of Korea, and others and Kenichi Ogami, secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, and his party.

On hand were Mukesh Sharma, secretary general of the International Kim Jong Il Prize Council, and his party, Alexandr Prokhanov, editor-in-chief of the Zavtra who is a director of the above-said council, and his party.

Speakers at the reception said that the International Kim Jong Il Prize is an international prize which is conferred upon famous personages in political, social and academic circles and businesspersons in all countries who made special contributions to the struggle for independence of the countries and nations, the cause of global independence and peace and development of human culture.

They praised Kim Jong Il for making distinguished contributions to accomplishing the cause of global peace and independence.
