Present there were Vice Marshal of the KPA Hwang Pyong So, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affaires Commission of the DPRK and director of the KPA General Political Bureau, Vice Marshal of the KPA Ri Myong Su, chief of the KPA General Staff, and other KPA commanding officers, service personnel of the Ground, Naval, Air and Anti-Air Forces and cadets of the military academies at all levels and students of revolutionary schools.

There was a ceremony of the military band of the KPA.

All the participants paid the respectful homage to the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

A gun salute boomed.

Hwang Pyong So made a speech in which the service personnel paid high tribute to the Generalissimos and pledged loyalty to Kim Jong Un.

The speaker said that the KPA would thoroughly carry out the behests of the Generalissimos unconditionally without an inch of deflection or a step of concession by regarding the behests as the lifeline in order to firmly defend and boundlessly glorify the army-building exploits of the peerlessly great persons.

He noted that the KPA would make thorough-going preparations for the final decisive battle while maintaining a high alert in line with the requirements of the acute situation in which the enemies' aggression war moves against the DPRK inch close to a reckless phase day by day and thus wipe out the group of aggressors with decisive and merciless preemptive strike once an order is given and build a reunified great power on the land of three thousand-ri without fail.

Then followed a march-past of the KPA Ground, Naval, Air and Anti-Air Forces, cadets of the military academies at all levels and students of revolutionary schools.

When the flags bearing the portraits of the smiling Generalissimos appeared, all the participants paid high tribute to the flags.

Ranks marched to the tune of revolutionary military music flying the colours of the Supreme Commander.

Fireworks were displayed.
